I've learned to love painting sand dunes. My first attempt were pitiful, but those were before I could see how much light and color is bouncing off of that sand in the shadows. Light reflecting from the sky, the sea, the sea oats, and the sand itself adds so much color to the sand dune's shadows. And its those shades of blues, purples, peaches, greens and golds that seem to bring these dune portraits to life!
