The sand dunes here at this beach are much more dramatic this year, the result of renourishing the beach after the damage done by Hurricane Florence. As a painter, they are appealing subject matter! After scouting the dune line, I was heading home in the late afternoon, and turned around to find this lovely path to the beach in my wake. That inviting glimmer of ocean beyond the dunes, the sun warming the sea oats, and the "blurple" shadows running across the footprints in the sand. I'm beckoned!
